There are several
different sections in South Boston, - City Point, Andrew Square, the
East Side, the West Side and the Seaport District. The City Point
area, also as known as the East Side is considered more desirable due
to its proximity to downtown Boston. The Seaport District is the most
recent section of South Boston to be redeveloped. The new Federal
Court House, Boston Convention Center and several high end hotels and
condominiums are all part of the new development being constructed in
this new and upcoming section of Boston's waterfront.
South
Boston is unique by reason of its proximity and access to the
waterfront. There are several miles of beaches open to the public for
walking, jogging, rollerblading, biking, swimming, fishing, sun
bathing and boating.
